Hospital Bag Essentials For Your Baby
Babies truly don’t NEED too much, especially if you’re giving birth at the hospital! Hospitals tend to provide a lot of the necessities for the 1-2 day stay. You don’t need to come with a full suitcase dedicated just for baby. Your postpartum nurse pleads for you to not 😂 But, I did always love when patients came prepared and so I think having their diaper bag can be great.
Don’t forget, the hospital might not use your preferred brands for diapers, wipes, pacifiers, baby soap (although I recommend waiting to bathe baby until you’re home!)… so knowing that info can help, too.
In my @dagnedover diaper bag, I packed the essentials. I recommend packing your diaper bag around 36 weeks and having it ready to go in your carseat by the door. Don’t forget, you want to have your car seat base installed around this same time (I highly recommend @safeintheseat car seat course!) but I usually say to wait on adding in the carseat itself so if you are in an unfortunate accident in those last weeks, you only have to worry about potentially replacing the carseat base and not the entire system.
